quietly tucked in the creatively architectured la salle college of the arts building, fifteen minutes is one of the new school based places that are slowly making a name for themselves. outfitted beautifully with modern edgy furniture and detailing yet keeping the old school style of a canteen and cafe, the place definitely had a nice 'come on in and chill' feel to it.
the food was deliberately kept simple i think, probably to gauge the intensity of the crowds when term starts, so they stuck to the usual soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas. as g and i were still somewhat full from brunch, we settled to share a portion of wings and a mushroom pizza. the wings were pretty good, not overly oily and marinated just about right, and the pizza too was refreshingly well done. served on an ultra thin pita-like base, the pizza had a good blend of freshly made tomato paste, mushrooms and cheese. topped with some special ground pepper mix and a dollop of what i make out to be some form of yoghurty cheese, the pizza definitely is one of the better thin crust ones that i've tried...not to mention at a very good price too!
tagged to be a place for friends, food and fame, fifteen minutes does live up to its claim for being a spot for friends (and family) to hang out over some good food. as for the fame bit...just in case anyone was wondering, the lower level is all decked out for open mike sessions and plush seats for creative thinking, so the opportunity for fame is there for inspiring singers, musicians and writers alike!

hey, i went there with some colleagues a few weeks ago. love the place. ethan didn't each much of his fish & chips though - maybe he was too busy running around and the waiters and waitresses were friendly enough to let him do so =)
