back in bangkok - the tlc edition!

the fantastic thai food and gastronomic experiences available in bangkok is just one of the reasons this girl hearts bangkok. there are in actual fact two other reasons - the awesome t-dub or thai wake park for some water (and air!) time to work off some of those calories and the acclaimed traditional thai massages.

having raved about t-dub in my earlier post, i thought i'd share where we went for some tlc in bangkok. this trip, we re-visited the now familiar asian herb association and ventured to somewhat new ground by tracking down let's relax and indulging in a four hands massage at spa 1930.

four hands you say? yes...and before anyone gets the wrong idea (we are in thailand after all!), this four hands massage is what i would coin the massage of the season. think total relaxation and complete bliss brought about by two therapists working on your entire body in perfect unison, kneading and massaging away the knots, stress and worrys of the world. it was total and i mean total calm i experienced, despite tight shoulders and a slightly stiff neck. it is a good thing we left this for the last as i think after the ninety minute pampering, i for one will find any other massage a little lacking! the treatment is a little more pricey with spa 1930 opened by a friend of the royal princess, but i believe it was well worth every baht!

we actually intended to have the four hands treatment at let's relax but they were booked solid that evening so we settled for the standard dream package of foot, hand and back massage. the treatment was as good as i remembered from our experiences at the let's relax joints in phuket and we would definitely be back with a pre booking for a four hands massage at the let's relax next time! slight heads up though, this outlet is kind deep in the soi so do cab it in and remember to ask the driver to go by the meter!

i know i didn't mention too much about the asian herb association other than in the very first post on mojitos way back in 2007, so thought i'd round up this post with a quick kudo shout out to the fantastic service at all outlets. asian herb, like let's relax, is one of those places where you are sure to have a good relaxing experience. with professional staff and variety in terms of treatment, asian herb association will always get a nod from me....helps too that you can walk in and almost always not have to wait!
