a second shout out of oiishi!

using the search function for the very first time on my own blog (thank you google!), i realized that the last time i raved about tom ton was way back in april 2007! i must have gone back like a dozen more times and am constantly wowed by the quality and consistency of the japanese food served up there...so here is a quick short but sharp post nanba two for the fantastic tom ton!

this place definitely takes top spot for tonkatsu in singapore. no where else serves up quite the same fresh and melt in your mouth pieces of korabuta pork, wrapped in an awesome crisp breadcrumb batter. eaten as is or with a touch of tonkatsu sauce and mustard, the tonkatsu here is guaranteed to evoke a huge oiishi from everyone!

aside from deep frying the slices of yummy meat, tom ton serves the korabuta as part of its ramen variety as well. again, be it served with the traditionally brewed creamy pork bone stock or classic miso, the sliced korabuta with the fresh ramen will most definitely bring smiles of satisfaction around the table.

altogether now....oiishi!

went to the tampopo at ngee ann city over the weekend. was a little disappointed with the ramen (still prefer Marutama =P). but we are definitely going back to try the tonkatsu. the last time I had that with you at tom ton was really good. hope it'll be just as good at tampopo =)
