it really seems a little longer than the 2 months since we moved back in....i guess time does fly by quicker when one is busy and or having fun! but it is quite official, we are settled in and yes, restaurant one six b is reopened!

the same can definitely be said for mom's otah. with the spicy version, non spicy version and fish head version, mom's otah absolutely rocks. with lemak rumpah mixed with flavourful spcies, the freshness of the mackarel is so augmented that you can literally taste the otah just upon smelling it barebecue on the grill!
that dinner was completed with home made rojak - fresh guava, apple, turnip and cucumber, smoothered with hei-kor (prawn paste sauce) and freshly ground peanuts; and deep fried tumeric chicken wings. all i can say is that the crowd that evening definitely had a great time!

Hi Lydia,
Your dad's version of hokkien mee looks a lot like my dad's. Perhaps they were taking lessons from the same hawker when they were growing up... Anyhow, it looks like a delicious meal!
Cheers
Marc
