‘this is the part of my life i call….happyness’

its 13:48 singapore time, 14:48 japan time and maybe 01:48 washington time. in the hope of trying to get my body in sync with usa time, i decided to catch a movie before lunch/supper (depending on who’s time we are referring to!).

did want to catch this on the big screen but decided against it after one friend commented on it being slow. always thought will smith was one of the better & more versatile actors, and i think he did a good job in this movie. maybe it was because i watched it without much expectation and hence found it pretty good. but it did strike a chord and made me wonder what happiness truly means. some might think other wise with regards to the movie and classify it as yet another one of those feel good movies. maybe. but i guess one man’s meat is another’s poison. i enjoyed it and do recommend it especially if one is looking for something thought provoking and not too soppy. will smith does prove his versatility and ability as an actor and made me truly see the meaning of standing by what you believe in, and being brave to believe that yes, things will be good. jaden christopher smith and thandie newton add further bite to the movie, plus the sound track’s not bad. being set in san francisco (circa 1980) makes it even better because i think sf's got a certain romantic and eclectic vibe to it...

it got me thinking about what makes me happy….and i am happy to say that yes, this truly is the part of my life i call happyness (*grin*).

here’s to the simple things….like mojitos, hugs, rubbing noses, being silly, holding hands, eating ice cream out of a tub and all the other madness!
